Review
Mean Girls in a Christian school it is not. Saved! isn't quite as funny. However, it has devoted a lot more energy to character than comedy. It starts out as a satire, but then decides it would rather just be a funny movie in which people (Christian people) go about their lives. One of these people is Macaulay Culkin. Who is really good. The rest of the cast is solid, too. Even Mandy Moore in the mean girl role.
You don't have to have attended a Christian high school in order to identify with the procedings. It is pretty much any average high school stamped with a cross. But, man, is it white. This is the whitest movie I've seen since, well, I'm not sure, but you get the idea.
